The book Pelayaran Bangsa Arab is a translation of the Arab Navigation by A. Syed Sulaiman Nadvi. The translation was done by Mazlan Muslim, who is presently Principal Specialist at UniKL MIMET. The book was published by Dewan Bahasa & Pustakan, Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur in 1992.

Within the twelve chapters the author provided some history of the achievements during the advent of Prophet Muhammad SAW & downfall of Arab navigation due perhaps to the intense competition with other nations that excelled in the maritime navigation. The book provides some interesting anecdotes & maritime ventures during its golden years of Arab navigation and the declining period, Lots of lesson can be learned from the endeavours of Arab navigators & provides interesting wisdom & knowledge to current & future global maritime experts.
