Di dalam satu hadis dilaporkan bahawa baginda Rasulullah s.a.w ada bersabda:
"Barang siapa yang di dapati padanya empat perkara,nescaya ia akan memperolehi segala kebaikan di dunia dan di akhirat.
(1)Pertama,lidah yang senantiasa basah dengan berzikir.
(2) Kedua,hati yang senantiasa sibuk dengan bersyukur.
(3) Ketiga,anggota-anggota tubuh yang senantiasa menahan segala penderitaan.
(4) Keempat,isteri yang tidak mengkhianati maruahnya dan harta benda suaminya."
Mengkhianati maruah maknanya mengerjakan sesuatu kemaksiatan.Lidah yang basah maksudnya telah pun diterangkan oleh ulama-ulama sebagai membanyakkan.Ini adalah merupakan simpulan bahasa,menurut kebiasaan,apakala seseorang memuji atau menyebut nama seseorang yang lain dengan sebanyak-banyaknya,maka dikatakan bahawa lidah sifulan telah dibasahi dengan memuji sianu.
