Graduated from Norwich City College UK in Diploma in Mechanical & Production Engineering, Newcastle University (UK) in BSc (Hons.) Naval Architecture & Shipbuidling, M.Eng. (Master of Engineering) in Mechanical - Marine Technology (UTM - Universiti Teknologi Malaysia).
More than 33 years in the maritime industry. Had been involved in maritime education (offshore & subsea structures, naval architecture subjects) ship design, project management, ship & draft survey, shipbuilding, maintenance, repair, conversion works. Had worked in Marine Department, shipyards (Ironwoods Shipyard Sdn Bhd, Kuching, Sarawak & MSET Sdn Bhd, Kuala Terenggganu), MISC Berhad, EA Technique Sdn Bhd., etc.
Presently Director of MIMET Shipyard & Engineering, Lumut, Perak; Chief Editor of the publication UniKL MIMET Ahoy!; lecturing at UniKL MIMET on advanced ship resistance and propulsion, shipyard and engineering project management.
