Hadith Rasulullah SAW yang diriwayatkan oleh Ibnu Umar: “Setiap daripada kalangan kamu ialah pemimpin. Dan setiap kamu dipertanggungjawabkan dengan apa yang orang yang di bawahnya. Maka imam (pemerintah) merupakan pemimpin dan dipertanggungjawabkan terhadap rakyatnya. Dan lelaki (suami) ketua bagi ahli keluarganya dan dipertanggungjawabkan terhadap apa yang dipimpin olehnya. Wanita (isteri) penjaga bagi segala apa yang ada di dalam rumah suaminya dan dipertanggungjawabkan terhadap apa yang dijaga olehnya. Dan khadam (pekerja) adalah penjaga bagi harta majikannya dan dipertanggungjawabkan terhadap apa yang dijaga olehnya.” (Sahih Bukhari).
