Rasulullah SAW bersabda ” Doa yang paling afdal ialah kamu meminta kepada tuhanmu keampunan dan keselamatan di dunia dan di akhirat. Kerana bila keduanya diberikan kepadamu di dunia, lalu keduanya diberikan kepadamu diakhirat, maka kamu benar-benar berjaya (Riwayat Ibnu Majah melalui Anas r.a.)
Maka berdoalah seperti berikut;
رَبَّنَا ءَاتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
Maksudnya : “Wahai Tuhan kami, berilah kami kebaikan di dunia dan kebaikan di akhirat, dan peliharalah kami dari azab neraka.” (Quran, Al-Baqarah : 201).
