(Iaitu) di hari harta dan anak-anak lelaki tidak berguna kecuali orang-orang yang menghadap Allah SWT dengan hati yang bersih. (Quran, surah asy-Syu'ara': 88-89)
Al-Maraghi berkata pada hari itu segala harta tidak dapat memberikan pertolongan walaupun dia menawarkan emas sepenuh bumi. Begitu juga anak lelaki tidak dapat melindunginya walaupun dia menebuskan semua anak lelakinya.
Dalam hal ini, yang amat berguna pada hari itu ialah segala amalan baik di dunia tanpa berasa cinta terhadap dunia.
Dalam ayat tersebut, anak lelaki disebut secara khusus kerana anak lelaki adalah orang yang paling hampir dan berhak memberi perlindungan dan pertolongan. Oleh itu, pada hari akhirat nanti sekiranya anak lelaki tidak boleh menolong kedua-dua ibu bapanya sudah pasti anak yang lain juga tidak dapat membantunya.
