Surah Waqi'ah (The Inevitable), the Glorious Quran. In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. 1. إِذَا وَقَعَتِ الْوَاقِعَةُ When the Waqi`ah occurs , 2. لَيْسَ لِوَقْعَتِهَا كَاذِبَةٌ There is not, for its occurrence, Kadhibah. 3. خَافِضَةٌ رَافِعَةٌ Bringing low (some), exalting (others). 4. إِذَا رُجَّتِ الْأَرْضُ رَجًّا When the earth will be shaken with a terrible shake. 5. وَبُسَّتِ الْجِبَالُ بَسًّا And the mountains will be powdered to dust, 6. فَكَانَتْ هَبَاءً مُنْبَثًّا So that they will become floating dust particles. 7. وَكُنْتُمْ أَزْوَاجًا ثَلَاثَةً And you (all) will be in three groups. 8. فَأَصْحَابُ الْمَيْمَنَةِ مَا أَصْحَابُ الْمَيْمَنَةِ So those on the right -- how (fortunate) will be those on the right! 9. وَأَصْحَابُ الْمَشْأَمَةِ مَا أَصْحَابُ الْمَشْأَمَةِ And those on the left -- how (unfortunate) will be those on the left! 10. وَالسَّابِقُونَ السَّابِقُونَ And those foremost will be foremost. 11. أُولَئِكَ الْمُقَرَّبُونَ These will be the nearest (to Allah). 12. فِي جَنَّاتِ النَّعِيمِ the Gardens of Delight.
